I’m currently working on a new website for a client and before I start building the website, I like to create a digital inspiration board to get the look and feel of the website down pat before building it. This does 2 things:
1. Makes sure my client and I are on the same page with their vision.
2. Speeds up the design process.
You can look at inspiration boards as an “outline” to a design project; putting all the elements that will make up the final product.
This can be used on any project you’re working from redesigning a room in your home to your wedding day!
Do you create inspiration boards before you start on a project? What tool to you use to create an inspiration board?
Love making mood boards. I do it before any design project I’m about to take on. As of lately since I’ve been designing more I use InDesign. I make a few different templates to use on the Master pages. And will just add a page & build from there.
I find it much easier nowadays keeping all my mood boards in one document.
