Here’s the second part of my 2016 makeup and beauty favorites! If you missed the first one, check it out here. I couldn’t have all my favorites in one post, so I had to break it up into two separate posts. This post will focus on all of my favorite and holy grail makeup products.
Here are my makeup favorites for 2016!
Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 30 – This hands down is my most favorite everyday foundation. It’s especially perfect during the summer months. I feel like this is so slept on. It’s lightweight and buildable. It’s not by any means a full coverage foundation. I would say this is a step above a BB cream when you want that no makeup, makeup look. If you have a ton of hyperpigmentation or blemishes, I would use a concealer under this or just steer clear of this. I mainly use this when my face is acting right and it’s clear.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup – This right here.. my God. This is my most favorite full-coverage foundation, hands down. It stays in place and goes NO WHERE, all day. I reserve this foundation for nights out and special events.
Urban Decay Cosmetics All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray – If you don’t want your makeup to budge but want it to still look fresh all day, get this in your life!
MAC ‘Prep + Prime’ Fix+ Finishing Mist – There are so many ways to use this finishing spray. I use it to take the powdery look after a face baking session or I spray a little on my makeup brush
intensify my highlight or eyeshadow. What do you use it for?
Sasha Buttercup Powder – Most people like the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder, but this is my bae. I use it both to bake and set my highlight or I just use it all over to set my makeup. It controls the oil in my T-Zone ALL DAY LONG. I can’t live without it.
Anything Colourpop – If you follow me on Snapchat, then you know my love affair with this brand. I love their eyeshadows, ultra matte + ultra satin liquid lipsticks, eyebrow pencils, contour sticks, highlighters, lippie sticks…you name it. I stay ordering from there because I just can’t get enough. I’ll have a blog post soon dedicated to all my Colourpop favorites.
Anastasia Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette – When this palette first launched, I slept on it, and when I went to finally order it, it was sold out everywhere. I stalked this palette until it finally relaunched and I’ve had a love affair ever since. This palette is so versatile and you can create so many different looks from it. This palette is a must have for your makeup collection.
Eylure Eyelashes – Exaggerate 145 – These are my favorite lashes when I want a little something on my lashes but don’t want to be too too extra. I love these lashes for everyday wear. They look natural but add a little something without being over-the-top.
MakeupShayla x Tarte Contour Palette – This is the most perfect contour palette for everyday. Check out my review on this palette to see why it’s one of my favorites for 2016! Check out the info below about how you can win this palette for free!
These were my top makeup favorites of 2016. I have so many other makeup products I use of course, but I found myself reaching for these more than others.
